What's plumbers tape
Sorry - upon closer inspection it looks like you've used large hose clamps to hang the ballast. I've always used plumber's tape - which isn't really tape at all ....

1 other thing you can do is extend your return pipe up a little in your sump then if your durso ever gets plugged your return pipe will only return the amount of water above it eliminating overflowing your display tank. Also i used the draw string filter socks, and tol keep the sock from slipping off the pipe I glued Half of an old union on to the end of the pipe to give the sock some thing to hang on to when u tie it on the pipe.

hey akira thats a great idea on the return pipe for the sock i think i will go that route, i do have to remove my sump to cut down the baffles, my water level in my sump are very high almost to the top and thats why i can lower my sock, hey ford if you would like to come by that is great could always use some advice on getting this tank up and running the right way, hey jaschall thanks for stoping buy your good guy you know before you showed up i was listing my tank for sale and did not relized it posted but it's not for sale yet. hey shane thanks for the tape idea i'll go buy lowes today and grab some to relocate my balast. thanks agian to all of you for all your help. hey ford you have my # you are welcome to come by.

Sounds great will have the sump pulled apart tonight and re sealed and let it dry over night we should be good, not sure on how high the baffles should be, but in order for me to lower the water I need to remove them and cut them down,

I have the same scenario with the sound on my dursos I ran some air line from the opening dwn behinde the tank to act as a muffler. It worked for me worth a try
