I have a 75 gallon with a 48"coralife light.   My brace causes a shadow when the moonlights are on since there is only 3. If I added a 4th Moonlight it would eliminate the shadow.   Has anyone ever done this?   Is it even possible?
I have not failed....I have just found 1000 ways that don't work.

The center moonlight is right over the top of the brace, right?

Here are some other ideas:
Eliminate the shadow by disconnecting or blocking the center moonlight
Place two other moonlights on either side of the brace.

I saved the best ideas for lastWink:
Use small mirrors to reflect the light around the brace.
Cut out the brace. LOL

Please forgive me. There are a few reasons for my being a little crazy.
I've kept my tanks in windows since I started the hobby so my tanks have always had free moonlight.
Ordinary plug-in night lights on an extension cord are cheap easy moonlights(see pic below)
Finally, I heard a guest expert tell us that moonlights have not been shown to provide any value to our tank inhabitants, though they do look really cool to the tank owner. Hug

Aloha,
Mark

First and foremost- Do not cut out the center brace!

I'm not sure how easy adding another light to your existing set up would be. But adding a separate light of some type shouldn't be to difficult. The key would be making the light level either match your existing lights or making it look uniform. We are using the Neptune LSM with 5 LED's witch makes placement very easy.
