I keep getting patches of purple slime on my monti and here and there in my 120g tank I see patches of this purple slime. Where it sticks to the monti it seems to be causing the monti to recede and it seems to like to keep re-growing back in the same exact place though I clean it off with a soft brush daily.
I don't have a lot of it in the tank but it is a nuisance to keep on cleaning off the monti every day

Any ideas how to deal with this stuff?

Usually if you increase the water flow where it is growing that helps. I would recommend treating the tank with Chemi Clean (or similar Cyano treatment) and then increase the water movement to try and eleminate it from coming back.
Chad.
What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!

Does feeding the fish Nori add to the bio load in the water when trying to lower the algae problem?

If they are eating the nori in a few min you should be fine. just put enough maybe so they eat it in a short time period.
