Does anyone know for sure if the new 40 and 60 will communicate together or do they have to be matched ie only 40 with 40 or 60 with 60?

They will. Or so I am told (I don't actually have a 60)
180 Gallon, 75 gallon, 30 gallon, 5 gallon. On a side note: I have just now decided that "Gallon" is a funny looking word.

...so basically you have no clue.

Yes the 40 and 60 communicate with one another flawlessly. I have them both. Even the slave can be used to control the master.

LOL. Great! I am going to pair a 60 with my 40, then. I have been trying to decide if another 40 would be enough when I get my 220 up, but this way, until then I can always turn the 60 down if it's overkill in my 135. Just wanted to make sure the two would communicate.

Thanks for the feedback!
