Hello everyone,
Welcome to the board Sean.
so I'm pretty much just learning as I go. |
I encourage you to learn before you go. I guarantee you'll save money, time and lives.
Right now I just noticed under a rock there was a worm that was about 1 inch long and red in color. |
As the others have suggested it's likely a bristle worm/fire worm. About 98%+ of these worms are good news. However it is worth mentioning that every now and then an "evil" variation finds it's way into home aquaria.
Is it bad, good or what does it mean to my tank? |
If it's a good worm, it will basically scavenge for leftover food and decaying matter. Keep in mind that a dying animal, even if it looks healthy, counts as decaying matter.
Hope that helps,
Chris
