    Posted: March 25 2008 at 7:47pm
My two perculas have black spots all over them I am hoping that they just go away after awhile (it is mostly just on their oarnge parts). I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, and could help me know what to do?
Thanks
Paul

It is a black flatworm that looks like "black ich".  Just do a hyposalinity dip and they will be fine.  I had that exact thing on my clowns and the freshwater dip cleared it right up.  Don't leave them in too long.  I had mine in for 15-20 minutes the second time and that was too long, they were starting to show some signs of stress.  I had it happen twice, once on the first pair I had then I lost one of the clowns when I moved tanks (got caught behind a container and couldn't get out)  I bought one to replace that one form Chris Rogers and the new one came down with it.  My picassos have yet to get it so maybe it is gone.  Be sure to match tempurature and ph to your tank to make it as minimal stress as possible.

Did they keep coming back?, or did they finally go away? Would you recomend doing the fresh water dip with the floraquin?
