Topic: Awsome coral ! Posted: October 13 2007 at 2:33pm |
I have picked up some fabulouse coral from Marine Aquatics. They have been bringing in some spectacular peices lately and I wanted to share some pics, even though my camera isn't able to give me good pics with my new lights. On a side note, They have one of the best looking velvet wrasses in right now. If I didn't have a big male already, he would be swimming in his new home right now.

Wow! Very beautiful! I love the 2nd and 4th ones.
What is your experience with wild colonies Brad? I don't have a good experience with them. Even though maricultured colonies are basically the same, they are much hardier in my opinion.

I have to admit Dinhkim, that my cultured colonies seem hardier, but if the wild caught ones look very healthy, I've had good successs. These are very healthy looking colonies and I am very optimistic. They are soooo much nicer than the pictures show. You need to go and check out their frags.

The polyp extension on all of them is just amazing tonight. I'm glad I caught that butterfly.

You do! I wish I would of had them last weekend. It's not near as fun looking at these by myself, Its good to share them with people who can really appreciate them for what they are.

Are the last three acros from Shawn? I stopped by Aquatica a few days ago and Shawn was like "You're late! Brad was here and grabbed three pieces out of the box". I have to say that your timing is impeccable.

You caught me . I must admit I had a good week. I had to luck out and get there first once in awhile. My wallet is certainly thinner though .
The first one is from Shawn, then I got a sweet carolinian and a real nice loripes that was in another pic above.

More pictures of other coral in my tank.
The starting of my zoo garden.
Beautiful pink and gold flake donut coral, (scolymia) from Aquatic Dreams
Awsome pally's from acropimp.
Branching hammer, started with 5 heads, I dont know how many now.
My latest wrasse, Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis, or long finned fairy
My first scolymia, I've had it for a year now.
The close one is a cultured Loripes from Aquatica, out of Balli
Dendrophylia
Just a side shot, they usually turn out best, I don't know why.
Side shot.

That is one beautiful scolymia that you have there Brad. Did it cost an arm and leg?
