 Topic: Zoanthid Hichhiker?

Well guys I found a new arrival to my tank! It almost blends in with the polyps since it is all pokey. It actually looks like a tiny anemone but isn't. Does anyone know what it is and if it will eat my zoos? Seriously it looks like a snail minus the shell will long soft spines or tentacles? I have more than one. I have couted atleast 4 and am a little concerned. Any help would be much appreciated!

I know a lot of people on other forums that fresh water dip all there zoanthids for 4 minutes to remove the infamous hitch-hiker Coreyk mentions above. Apparently, the zoos can take it, but the zoanthid eaters will bail.

Do they move and what color are they? If they look like a zoanthis, they could also be aiptatia IMO.

I'm interested to know if anyone does a freshwater dip when they recieve their zo's. I've taken quite a liking to them and have an order of some coming this week. Let me know what your opinion is - I've read different ones.
I think that Mark will say that I'm killing off some of the good stuff (am I right Mark  )

I'm going to dip zo's from now on before I put them in my tank. Yeah you'll be killing some of the good stuff but is better then letting them evil hobbits hurting poor smeagol  ...

Well, I guess I'm so lazy...I wouldn't bother. Especially since so far, (knock on wood) this bad guy is rare. I bet that many of us have had it and didn't know it. Conditions either weren't right for it to survive, or we had a wrasse, damsel or shrimp that devoured it.
