Total new guy here!

I bought a 24 gallon nano 3 months ago used, lots of corals.  Everything is doing well and good growth.  All water parameters are good:  0 for nitites, ammonia, nitrites.  20 for nitrates, 500 ppm for calcium and 10 hardness.  I do 10% water cahnges every 3 weeks with wtar top offs in between.  Anyway, this colot coral has looked like this for 2 days..loosk all purple, but rigid.  Not a nice pink or flowing like it was.  All other corals look good, thriving, etc.  Only two changes have been made:
1.  i added a Royal gramma 3 days ago.  I ahve never seen it near the coral.
2.  Swithced from 50/50 72 watss of light 3 weeks aggo 10 150 mh and 28 watts actinic.  i went through a slow acclimation phase with the lighting.  the other coral really started growin well with the improved lighting.

Is this coral sick? pooping?  resting?  It is just odd and I have no idea...Input greatly appreciated!

Could be shedding it's tunic. Should be fine in a few days. Most leathers do this fairly regularly

Why do you call it a colt coral? It looks like Sinularia and I agree, give it a week more and it should hydrate(expand) again. If it takes longer than that, come back here and we'll try to figure it out.
Here is a colt coral, now called Klyxum. It didn't look like this did it?

Thanks guys!  I really appreciate the help.  i am a guppy breeder (150 tanks of championship show guppies, anyon want to trade stuff????) but this is my first real foray into the salt water world.  I have to say, it is addictive...lol.

Anyway, I thought it was a Colt Coral, but I stand corrected.  It does not look like the bottom pic...Thank you!  It is actually coming back out.  Seems to much richer pink than before.  Crazy stuff.  Took about 4 days total I guess.

I appreciate the feed back.  I am trying to do this very slow and the right way.  I have corals that I think are named correctly, but not sure.  I know I have some zoos, mushrooms, several leather, blasomussa?, small torch and frogspawn.  Since i got the new lighting they have grown really well.

I think I have galaxis, I will post a pic.  It seems these are dangerous to other corals?

Is it appropriate to post pics of the corals that I cant figure out what they are?

Thanks  Rick
