That's a tough one in a Nano. What size of tank is it?
Tangs from the Unicorn and Naso family are the best but Rabbitfish might eat it too.
Sometimes, Urchins will eat it clean off the rock, but I would not recommend leaving an Urchin in a Nano. It would starve to death.

Kelp is a wonderful Macroalgae. It grows long and wavy. I love it. If it were me, I would just trim it by hand. If you want to really slow it's growth get a razor blade and cut it off at the holdfast as close to the rock as possible. Wire cutters can be used to chip off a piece of the rock where the holdfast is connected.

May I come cut it off for you and take it home? I'd like to add it to the 12 gal Nano I just set up.
