Thumbs%20Up Dion

Anyone else?

If you use a combination of white lights and Actinic/blue lights, you may want to try using pink/blue. Here is a 10 gal using one single 36W pink/blue PC. The blues, greens and reds are much more vibrant than the common white/blue PC. The 2 or 3 SPS and several LPS in this tank did well too. The previously sick clam (large intake opening) held on for several months too.

Yes, URI makes the six foot "Actinic White". Why they call it that I'll never know. I've even had to order it when it was listed as "50/50" Confused It is the pink half of the pink/blue combo. The other half is called Super Actinic. Pink tubes are also sold to the freshwater hobby as plant grow tubes. If I were you and I found a 6' plant grow tube, I'd use that in my VHO setup. It will glow just as bright and last almost as long but be half the cost.Smile

I use pink pc's with my actinics and 10K's.  It really brings out the reds and pinks in the tank.

I have some of the Helios bulbs (not pink) and have been EXTREMELY dissapointed with the quality and the non-existant customer service.  I have several problems with their products and numerous attempts have not generated a single response.

They don't have the best PC tubes in general, but they have the only Pink/Blue tubes so that's what I use, powered by WorkHorse ballasts.

What kind of complaint do you have?
What products?
Did you buy the products from a LFS?
