I bought a good-sized LTA about a week ago and have been acclimating it and letting it settle in.  I'm a little concerned because it hasn't really attached to anything.  I even dug a pit in my sand bed and "planted" it there.  It seemed to like it there for a while because it opened up and looked good.  It has even eaten a couple of times in the last week (silversides, mysis, and krill) and its tentacles are nice and sticky.  Everything looks good except that it has come out of the hole I dug and isn't attached to anything.  Any ideas?  Does it just need more time to settle in?

Yes it just needs time and they will move wherever they wish.  It is quite hard to get them to stay where you actually want them.  They always seem to end up in the last place you would like them to be in your tank.

^^^^ Very true.

I have also noticed with all 3 of mine they like to find holes in the rock and they "wedge" their feet into the hole.

Thanks guys.  I guess I'm just confused because I'd always heard that LTA's like to bury themselves in the sand, whereas the BTAs like the rock crevices.  I'll just give it some time...
