Just out of curiosity has anyone else ever witnessed their stomatella snails spawning?  These are the ones that look like a big slug with a half shell on them.  I have numerous crawling around in my tank and am continually seeing new little ones as well so I know they are succesful in their attempts.

When mine spawn it's pretty cool to watch, since they all seem to do their thing at the same time, and pretty regularly--like once a day or every two days.    I would film or take pics but don't have a 'schedule' for them or the camera to do so.

I have a few in my sump that I've seen spawn once or twice.  IME they crawl to high points of the tank and release their "cloud".  It's pretty cool to see them all doing it simultaneously.

My snails do it all the time. I haven't seen any stomatella for many moons. I used to have two.

Kevin--I've a bunch.  Tell me if you want and I'll try to bring some in jan to the meeting.

Mine don't even go to high points.  just all the sudden they are all at it.  It is kind of neat, and now I know I'm getting zooplankton in my tank.

I have one in my tank, and it often "spawns", though there are no others in there.

Nathan, Sure I'd love some of your stomatella. Do you want some of my snails in trade. I think they are nerite but not sure. They are small and round.
