    Posted: January 11 2014 at 7:35pm
My new Jebao WP10 showed up today. I know others have had much success with the larger wp40/60's so when the WP10 came out I had to try one. :) I'm currently running a vortech mp10 in my 29g bio cube and was very curious how this little pump would compare. Maybe it's not fair to compare the wp10 to a pump 4x more expensive, but that's what I had so I will share my findings.

I ordered the Jebao wp10 off an eBay seller here in the states, pump arrived 2 days later :)

Everything in the box

This pump is small

Controller. Note I'm pretty sure this is smaller than the controller for the wp25/40. There is also NO night sensor.

Compared to mp10 wet side

Side by side with mp10 in tank

Impression: The pump is very powerful for the size, but honestly after reading reviews on the other pumps I was expecting a bit more. It's still sufficient for my bio cube and I have some awesome wave action going on and the corals seem happy. Compared to the vortech mp10, the mp10 is definitely stronger and has a wider flow pattern. But it's also 4x more expensive. The wp10 is also very quiet. The wp10 is the prefect amount of flow my my cube, some day if my corals grow in a bit more I will probably add a second pump, but that's not needed right now. For the money I'm very happy and recommend this pump to anyone with a nano not wanting to shell out $200+ for more expensive options.

Wp10 pros:
-Price
-Small size
-Great controller with many options
-Lots of flow for the size
-quiet operation
-magnet mount
-awesome wave action :)
Cons:
-wish it was a little more powerful, may need a second pump eventually
- Longevity/reliability unknown

I'll post a video soon. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the review!
So for a tank my size that is slightly bigger than a cube I think would you recommend going with the wp-25?

From what I have read about the WP25 I think it will be too powerful for your tank. I think the wp10 would be a great start, especially since you have minimal rockwork. You could add a second in the future if needed as the tank fills in.

Okay I am really rethinking the seahorses so I will probably order one of these sometime soon. It looks small so not too intrusive in the tank.

I absolutely LOVE my wp60.  It rocks WAVES in my 300 gallon tank.  Just figure that it seems to move about TWICE the water a similar MP model will.  It blows my MP60 away on water movement.  AND cost about 1/7 of what a MP does!!!

Paid $69 shipped on ebay. They can be had cheaper through group buys and such but didn't want to wait a month for it to show up from China :)

I thought a couple of the LFS have started keeping them in stock and selling them.  Can't remember what stores.

Looks like I should get one for my biocube 29. Was waiting on a good review for the smaller tank.
