I think that is actually referred to as a Tulip Anenome
Like a cousin of the manjano, and also considered a "pest", but they don't spread as quickly as the manjanos do.

If I were you, I would seal that one off with epoxy right away.
Just a suggestion.
They look nice, but I am not fond of how they multiply and sting coral.

I have had success with injecting majanos with white vinegar at Mark Peterson's recommendation. I used a fine tipped syringe and stuck it right into them and they folded like a cheap suit. I thought I was going to have to siphon them away, but they just wasted away over a day or two.

I hate do say this but I disagree with Bob. I do not think its a tulip. Tulips are bright green with red tips. They are pretty but they DO spread quickly and before you know it every rock in your tank will have them. They get in any small space in between the coral and killing them is impossible without killing most of the flesh around them.

I had a small majano outbreak. I tried white vinigar and they would close up, but then come back afew days later. I bought a bottle of aptaisa-X and injected about 10 majano's last week and they appear to be all be gone now.

It isn't Majano or Tulip anemone but they are pests, they do spread, and do sting your corals hard. I woul kill it off or remove it soon.

Jeff were you injecting them? Sharp needle shoot it full. I started the vinegar proceedure and it works very well. However I recomend not useing a lot in a nano tank. I would hate to see ph issues.

Not to hijack this thread, but can I get a confirmation that these are run of the mill "button polyps"? Are they stingers?
