Well i was wondering how you feed your fish because it seems like as soon as i put any krill or flakes in the water they float away and go right into the overflow thanks again for the help

Many people turn off their circulation pumps to feed.  I leave mine on.  Some food goes into the overflow, the rest is whirled around by the return jets.  I try to drop the food in in front of the returns so that the current whooshes it all over the tank before the overflow gets it.

I have a bottle with a cap that I use. I put RO water in the bottle then put in the flakes or frozen. After the frozen food thaws I shake the bottle and pour the food in the tank. It works well and when the fish see me shake the bottle they get excited. Since the food is suspended in the water it doesn't float when I put in into the tank.

I have a little floating ring that hooks to the glass with a suction cup.
Then I just put the food in the ring, it keeps it out of the returns a little longer.

Here is a link to it.

I put my food into a cup. If frozen I put it on the center brace of my tank until it thaws. Then I add some water and use a Turkey baster to suck it up and then I put the tip of the turkey baster under the surface of the tank water and squeeze so all the food goes into the water column. It is then whirled around and the fish chase it and eat it.

I only feed dry food when I don't have time to feed frozen Emerald Entree and GSL Brine Shrimp. I like EE because it has so much algae in it.
Dry food is held between the fingers and swished into the water away from the overflows.

BTW It's time for this years Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp Collecting trip.
