so i want to start doing other coral than softies and mushrooms. Which is a good coral to start getting? i needs to be something that will do okay under moderate lighting. My 90 has 220 Watt of VHO. I will double that soon but for now that is what i have. Is there LPS that will grow under that? Thanks!

LPS don't usually require too much lighting (some exceptions)  and there are others too.
I think you'd be okay with candy canes, frogspawn, zoos, gorgonia, hammer, leathers (though those are softies too, kinda), moon stone, brain coral, cup coral, etc... so many to choose from.  Even some sps will do ok under VHO, just keep them a little higher up.
Jeff Morrill has a frag tank with VHO that has all sorts of awesome stuff in it.  Everything from zoos and leathers to sps.  Just make sure you keep good water quality.

My first hard coral was an LPS, sweet piece of frogspawn. Then the next piece, was a piece of octopus coral. I think that an LPS is probably the perfect type of coral for your first piece of stony. Easy to take care of and a fast grower!
