Aloha,

They will devour dieing fish, just like Bristleworms. I rarely remove animals, but that is one that I would remove. These large worms can be ravenous coral eaters. Some are called Fireworms because of their fiery red color, but I once removed a green Bristleworm that was eating coral. It's body was the diameter of a pencil and just as long.

Bridal Veil material is great for catching and removing them. Place a piece of shrimp/cube of frozen shrimp in a loosely bunched up square foot of the fabric. The Bristleworms crawl in and can't get out quick enough when the fabric ball is retrieved.

My buddy and I caught it while we were placing the rocks on my 220. Hes about 30" maybe 36".

I lost a few spotted jaw fish and watchman Gobies the last few months wonder if this guy had something to do with it, I also lost all my zoas and palys.
