This started growing off of one of my rocks about a month ago. I have no idea what it is, but it grows fairly fast. It is about 2" tall and kind of a see-through red color. I just noticed what looks like some air bubbles inside some of the arms too. The base is really small, around 1/16" where it is attached to the rock. When i touch it it feels firm too. Any ideas?

Thanks
Tony

Sorry for the bad picture I had to resize it to get it to fit on here and it makes it hard to see.

Is it fleshy or is it more plant like?  Does it come apart easily?

It feels pretty solid. I haven't tried breaking any off of it. It also doesn't contract at night or when it is out of water that I have noticed.

Just looks kind of like the dreaded algae that Kevin has.

It actually looks like an algae a lot of algae collectors are trying to get ahold of. Dont let Suzy see it!

So is it a good algae, or a bad algae? It is not spreading and it grew to this size in about a month.

If it doesn't come apart easily it is probably not the bad algae.  That is how it spread all over Kevin's tank.  If it is not the bad algae, I want some, it's beautiful!
