I am going to be building a kalk reactor, effluent chamber and waste collector here real shortly. They are all going to be built like precision marine's stuff. I am looking for a gasket material for the lid's. Is there anywhere locally that sells this stuff?

For my CA reactor I used a heavy duty double backed foam tape from 3M. Its not the stuff with the white foam, its got a gray color.

I stuck that all around the lid and tightened down the screws and it has not leaked at all since (5 months ago). I may have to replace it when I change the media, but its cheap.

You can go to a hydraulic supply store and they will either have one on hand that will fit, or they can order them in for you.

Just curious, why not buy them from precision marine in their parts section? The most expensive one was only $4.
