What size tank? I had a rio hf 32 on my 90g that I really liked.

Its a 65 gallon tank. And if I understand correctly, my display will only drain as fast as my return line will pump as long as the return pump is faster than the display drain. Right?

Your display needs to be able to drain as fast as your pump pumps water up into it. You will probably be at around 600 gph with that pump if it is in your sump 4 or 5 feet or so below the tank water level. I think it should be good for your 65 gallon, you might want to throttle it back abit, or split the return into 2. Let us know how it turns out.
Life is good....right?

You want your drain to be able to drain more than your pump can put out. Otherwise you'll flood the display. Hyperflow pumps are great, I use them on my tanks. You can put a ball valve on the output of your pump so you can turn down the flow if it's too much for your drain to handle.
