Topic: WTB: 1" Black PVC pipe & strainer screen Posted: September 29 2006 at 3:01pm |
Does anyone know where to buy 1" black PVC pipe and strainer screens? I need about 4' of pipe and two screens. I've already checked Home Depot and Standard Plumbing Supply. Savko has it but shipping is $7.75 which is about as much cost as the products I need.
Thanks,
Mike

I needed a couple inches of that black stuff when I set up my new tank!
So I prepared the part using regular white 1" PVC pipe, "painted" with ABS cement.

Mark,
I guess the ABS cement stuck to the PVC OK?
Will the ABS cement get covered with coraline?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes the ABS sticks to the PVC, but it's too early to tell how well Coralline grows on it. I'm confident that it does.
