I think I am going to use a 70w halide (probably 10k) and 2 24 inch VHO actinic. What do you guys think? I don’t have specific livestock I am interested in keeping, I just want a versatile and good looking setup. Any suggestions?

You could also use PC for your actinics.  I'm not familiar with VHO, but they are a very viable option.  Just giving you one of my own.  :)

Yeah i would do the PCs and MH combo. . . . but it would be cool either way. Big%20smile

Forget the MH and go with 3 or 4 URI VHOs...

1 Actinic White
1 Aquasun

I kind of like the "shimmer" that you get with a halide....

I wish I had the patience to read all of the posts on the subject but I dont, so I'll just ask. Why dont you like halide (other then heat)?
