Is this rock as porous as FIJI live rock? Will it perform nitrification as effectively as FIJI live rock?

Some of the LBTR pieces are more porous than some Fiji LR. See the pic below.

Last Saturday I went out to find some using the directions you provided a year ago. Can't remember the exit off hand, it seems like it was I80 exit 68(military exit). Anyway got off the exit and turned left getting onto the hill, then left around the hill, up onto the ridge and found what I believe to be a whole lot of LBTR. However, the ones I took didn't look quite as choice as the picture above, but similar. Mostly got it from the tops of the darker rocks. It has a lot of crevices, but I just wasn't sure how porous this rock is. I plan to put it in a FOWLR with the Live Rock/skimmer/refugium being the sole filtration. I do plan to seed with at least 1/3 Fiji or other live rock.
