I purchased the 5gal fluval spec and wanted to get some opinions on what good lighting would be for it. Under $100
Dimensions are 17.2" long 6.3" side to side and 10.6" tall

I had bill @ saltwater paradise build a custom 27 watt led light for under $100.00 for my 6 gallon fluval edge. He is in Ogden but I'm sure he would ship it! Check out my tank build for pics. I can't take pictures the light is amazing!

I can build one but prefer to have something manufacture made. I posted a pic of the box, it is a very sleek tank so I don't think something DIY will look good

What about doing a pennisula style tank with the overflow to the wall and building something coming off of the wall? Just throwing ideas out.

I am using an Odyssea lamp fixture that I got on Amazon for $30 on my 7 gallon bowfront. I replace the stock lamp with a coralife PC. My soft corals and even birds' nests are doing well. Just an FYI.
