Looking at getting an Apex, my question is what is the main difference between apex and apex lite, besides the ph probe? Its roughly a 130.00 difference and a ph probe is 40.00 or 50.00... right?

I don't think you get the 4 variable speed ports and the PH probe. The $130 is worth it if you can pull it off. Being able to monitor PH is a nice option. Personally, I don't need the variable speed ports anyway, but it's nice to have the option if you need it.

variable speed ports are awesome if you are running LEDs and want to control them.

Well, my AI Sols have their own controller, and to buy a ph probe separately would save me 80.00 or 90.00. I know its only 130.00 more, but why pay for it if i will not use it... on the other hand, maybe i would eventually use it. Any other opinions on this?

The apex lite will moniter ph if i buy the probe separately... right?
