Does any body have a macroalgae that grows up, like freshwater
plants? I've got a good crop of blade growing, but it's just cruisin'
across the sand....

There used to be that brown Kelp like stuff that came in on Tongan LR. If the Tangs don't eat it or the LR is kept away from them, like in the Refugia, it grows pretty good and looks neat IMO. Cuttings can attach in a week or two.

There still seems to be a lack of appreciation of the value of non-Caulerpa types of macroalgae. I have a feeling that they are out there in the wild, but lack of interest has kept them from us. Do a search on the www and you may find some for sale.

Yes, that's what it was also called. It grows from a holdfast on the rock just like Kelp I've seen. Is it more correctly called Sargassum?
