Hi, I just got an apex and got it all set up, and i agree it can act a little weird sometimes...
It might sound dumb, but the old computer repair technician in me would just advise isolating the real source of the problem before contacting apex. it can save you a lot of time, and it's easy to do. Embedded systems are notorious for having quirky reset behavior, I would try reseting the factory defaults per the instructions at least twice, waiting for a full reboot in between each.
Then if problems are still there, just start from the simplest causes of problems, loose cables, broken lock tabs on ethernet cables, that sort of thing. Literally just re plugin everything, even if it doesn't seem directly related, pretend like your setting it up again for the first time. If that all looks good, reset your router (just unplug it for at least 30 seconds.) if nothing changes, you can try connecting directly from the apex to your computer, no router, (if you aren't sure how you can google it.) and if you get to that point, and still can't login then call apex.
I hope you find that helpful, if you have any questions I'd be happy to pm with you about other ideas that you can try, and things that you've already tried and the problem that you're looking at.
