i'm planning out my refugium and wanted to get some opinions on what size tube should be used from the tank to the refugium and then back to the tank?

From the research I'v done, I seems that the general concensus is 1" from the tank to sump and 3/4" from the sump to the tank.

It doesn't make a difference what size tubing that you use as long as your drain is bigger than your return.  I usually go with what Mike said, 1/2 or 3/4 return and 1" drain.

Just like Mike and Marcus said, I have 3/4" from my sump to my refugium and 1" from my on the return from the refugium to the sump.
