I noticed there has been a lot of discussion on MH Mogul and MH HQI. I think that is always a question every reefer asks himself and others: Which bulb is best? Which ballast is best? Which reflector is best? HQI vs. Mogul.
I am not an expert but have used Dr. Sanjay's reef lighting tool for 4 yrs and always been pleased with the results I have been able to put together by using this tool to help me decide on which bulbs to use for my own tank and for others that I have helped design and set up. Take a look at it, and play around with it. The results are sometimes very suprising.
Basically what you do is you can input your configuration, or a planned configuration, and he supplies the data, like temperature, par rating, spectrum etc. It's pretty awesome. You can even compare 2 configurations side by side.
