Apparently there was a screw up with RC and they were having problems with it making really low MG levels. Seems people are testing their buckets and if it has low MG you have to mail a sample to the manufacturer in ohio, and if they conclude its bad they will send you a new pail

I was at Petco this weekend and noticed there "store" brand of salt. Has anybody ever tried it out? At $15 cheaper a bucket, I was wondering if it would be worth trying.

sure havent. if you contact holdencraft *dion* he gets in salt quite often at some pretty good prices. I also know that aquatica had reef crystals for 49.99 which is a good price.

Petsmart will match their internet pricing on Instant Ocean (or Oceanic).  $32/bucket last time I bought (3-4 months ago).

I bought my last batch at Sue's Pet Castle in St. George with their $10/second bucket deal.  I picked up two buckets each of Oceanic and Instant Ocean when I was down there last week.

I mix 50/50 Oceanic and IO as I like how the numbers come out.
