It has it's perks and its drawbacks but I love it. I can sit and work on my school work and watch my tank. The only drawbacks are I am in an upstairs apartment so "new kids rule" no running or jumping as it shakes the tank (and Everything in my apartment) and My apartment is extremely small so it takes up the majority of my kitchen.

OK So been a little bit thought I would update this thread. Tank is running and has rock coral fish....

I am now running 2 AI Sol's controlled with the Apex
I have an auto top off setup to the RO
Skimmer is a ASM G2 with a G3 pump
25w Aqua UV

It is starting to rid the brown algae stage and should be clear soon enough. I have been keeping the ammonia nitrites and nitrates in check but allowing some to complete the cycle. Lots of water changes.

Here is what it looks like today
