Is the 13 watt compact they come with, and the fillter enough for an anemone?

what type of anemone?  I would probably say no too, most of my anemones that I have had would have died if I didn't have my Metal Halides.  Except my LT anemone seems to not care for any lights.

I would say no.  I retro fitted my eclipse hood with upgraded lights.... twice.  Both times I did I was very pleased with the additional lighting.

Speaking from experience, you'll definately want to upgrade. It's pretty easy to fit an upgrade into the hood.
