I was just curious how you can encourage a BTA to move without ripping it from the rock? I heard you could point a powerhead in it's direction and it won't like it so it will move. I'm curious to hear your suggestions.
Thx,
jason

Jason -

When I sold the clones that I had, I just squirted the anemone with a turkey baster for about 5 minutes then it started to move because it didn't like the current.  Once they're on the move, they are easy to scoop up.

I have a power head on it all night and it still hasn't budged.

The water motion from a powerhead is not the same as a turkey baster.
Perhaps the baster has to have some leftover juices

So are you saying you think the turkey baster is stronger? My power head is literally 4 inches away. I had to put a regulating nozzle on it for fear it may shred the anemone. I would just work it off the rock if I could but it's way in the back where it is difficult to reach. I can see it and I can touch it but I can't do both.

I would have never believed it if I hadn't of done it myself. But Sean, your technique worked. I took the turkey baster and kept squrting it the best I could right around the base and it got aggitated enough that it finally let go.
