I'm still experiencing many new things with my tank and need tons of assistance when things crop up. I've had these orange worm like beings for some time now, introduced when I purchased a feather duster. What are they?
While the wife and I were working on these pictures she found this sitting nearby. It moved when the light touched it, and is hiding under a small shelf.
I'm sure someone out there can identify these alien invaders.

To me it looked like a smooth hippo without a lower jaw. (like that helps) It never moved from it's spot (at least while I was watching) but when the light was shined on it, the whole body jerked as if startled. I never saw any legs or antenna The creature was about a centimeter in length so really small. As it dissappeared I will keep looking for it and see if I can isolate it for a better look.

I think its the killer Venomous Hippo Pod. I would evacuate from your house as soon as possible and call the millitary. They escaped from South America a couple years ago and hitch-hike with semi-drivers to get into our tanks. The only way to kill them is to urinate in your tank (Guess Mark doesn't have any, hehehe). But I wouldn't do that. Hahahaha! Oh boy, I just needed to help myself laugh with all the depressing rain.
