When i get off of work today i will be doing 10% water changes on all 3 of my tanks and normally i just dump the diry water down the drain. Just curious if anyone has creative uses for it, im thinking about trying to get a few big jugs and trying to grow some rotis or even attempting to keep some live mysis (if i can convince the misses to let me have more fish stuff in the house). Otherwise if someone in the VERY northern utah (brigham city) area wants some water to seed a tank or something.....??

Tank water cannot be used for Rotifers. Bugs in the tank water ruin it for the rotifers for various reasons, and it's even worse when we have tried tank water for raising phytoplankton to feed the tank and the rotifers.
I've never found any use except for helping start new tanks.

If you don't like your neighbors, it's great to pour on their lawns late at night and then watch them try to figure out why their lawn is not doing well and dying in places. J/k

If you know anyone setting up a tank start saving it. They can use it to give their tank's biofiltration a jump start.

I don't mean to disagree with that, but LW begins to die and decompose soon after going into buckets. Because it has living creatures in it, LW needs to be treated the same as LS and LR. All four of the live components must be transported as quickly as possible from donor tank to recipient tank. Lids on buckets of LW, LS, LR and Algae should be kept on for as short a time as possible. If transport is longer than an hour, I remove the lids to let the water breathe fresh air for a few minutes, to exchange CO2 for O2.

I know this isn't what you are asking but I use my skimmate from my skimmer as a deer repelant on my tulips and other flowers the deer like to eat. Works quite well. Don't dump right on the plant but around so the deer can smell it and move on.
