Topic: Scoly ate /is eating my Pipefish - warning graphic Posted: April 06 2015 at 10:10am |
Woke up to this. I read that LPS could sting them before I got it, but I didn't consider LPS eating them, lesson learned, poor guy and dumb owner. Maybe this post will prevent others from making mistake

Well on the positive side... you wont have to spot feed your scoly for a bit.

Very true on the not having to feed the scoly aspect. The store I got the pipefish from had scolys in the tank I believe. I've seen the scoly eat hermits (pops shell back out after which is pretty cool) so I guess I should have thought through the pipefish a little more. RIP lil buddy.

It was a dragonface pipefish most likely a Corythoichthys
instinalis but its color is gone obviously.
