When we spoke over the phone, you seemed to understand that letting your tank run as is for a while made sense for it's overall health. I'm not wasting any more of my time with you.

Wow if even Mark is saying that then I can't imagine what everyone else is saying.

lol o well.. ill get over it mark... i appreciate your help and running the coarse but its spring cleaning time and the lions have lots of food... i dont wanna catch my other fish so they are now going to be fish food...  hoping to thin out my stock a little bit

hurray for being inhumane!! cause im sure the comments are soon on the way!! hehe

anyways.... these are the last fish im going to add for quite some time.. im going to focus mainly on coral and stuf... but i had to get rid of the rest of my dumb fish.. and my tank is finally setup how i want them... why catch the fish when you can stick in a predator in and get the entertainment of watching hte predator stalk your fish?? hahah pretty sweet sight to see..  hopefully the lions eat everything but my diamond goby and my lawnmower blenny. everything else can get chomped!!

why would i do such a "horrible" thing may you ask?? my percula is trying to host in my zoos and killing them... my clown goby is doing the same... my blue hippo tang is always hiding in rocks and always being retarded.. and my foxface.... welll my foxface i still like and im guessing he will live.. its time for a predator/coral only tank...

Wow...I really love my lionfish, but I've never fed him that expensive of a
dinner.

Plus, frozen training might be difficult.

You won't be that "entertained" when the action will happen when you are
not watching.

Last post for me....

frozen training is already done on the fuzzy... the other one might be difficult... i gotta talk to ryan about it..

im not really feeding them a expensive.. im saving myself time and money for me not having to rip apart my tank to catch them.. not to mention i dont want to burdon somebody else with my fish as they have pretty much all had ick at some point in time...  better for them to just be fish food

Interesting!

I hope that someday you learn some responsibiliy and perhaps the value of life. I guess that comes with growing up!!

IMO You have displayed to the list that you deserve all of these past problems that you have expereinced and will continue to experience. The sad thing is that those fish that will soon be eaten are better off where they are heading rather then to be left in your care.

I agree, I would never do anything like that.  You can easily make a fish trap and catch those fish.  I did and it worked just fine and I didnt have to tear apart my tank.  My feeling is that you are going to lose a lot of advice and help from the board because of your irresponability and immaturity.  All I can say is WOW!!!!

sounds to me like alot of you are not real mature... haha ITS A FREAKING FISH!!!! ya it might be your hobby BUT ITS A FISH!!!!! i guess fishing should be illegal.. i guess hunting should be illegal.. i guess anything that harms a LOWER species should be banned and outlawed... most of you are the people taht make me pissed off every day because you dont want religion in school, you dont want hunting.. you want to make this awesome strong proud country a place for sissy's...

there are very few i actually respect on this board.. i respect the presidency cause they are the presidency and have tons of responsibility.. i respect alot of the people that help me out with my tank in general..

what kind of grown ups are you to chastize me for my beliefs and how I WANT TO TREAT MY TANK??? WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE!!! if you dont want to read my posts then STAY OUT OF MY THREADS!! its that simple...

there is NOTHING wrong with me wanting to watch an awesome fish stalk and hunt my other fish.. its is so wrong THEN WHY IS THAT THE WAY IT OCCURS IN NATURE???????? WHY ARE THERE PREDATORS AND PREY????

you all talk about simulating NATURAL reef tanks and such but you forget one main thing... THERE ARE PREDATORS IN NATURAL REEFS!!! it is survival of the fittest and if my fish are not fit enough then they will be eaten by THEIR NATURAL PREDATORS!!! its not like im freakin barbequeing them and feeding them to my cat for hells sakes..

oh BTW so i guess its also wrong for me to feed my fish anything living.... or anything dead for that matter... because in order to make the dead stuff they had to kill a bunch of living things and freeze them so that my fish could eat... i also guess that anybody with aggressive tanks are inhumane and irresponsible and immature.... just because it is not what YOU like to see dont freaking talk down to me about it.

some people have reef tanks PRIMARILY to see things get killed/eaten... not everyone is in this hobby for the beauty of docile family fish... some of us are in this hobby to watch the food chain and see how incredibly smart lion fish are to sit and stalk their prey until they finally get the opportunity to attack them.

i do not enjoy watching community fish get disease and die. it seems as though they are the only ones that contract dumb crap like that... i have kept freshwater for 3 years.. i bred cichlids, i bred AGGRESSIVE cichlids and they NEVER had any problems.. my sisters community tank always had fish dying.. ALWAYS!!! there was always bacteria and bad stuff going on... aggressive fish are not NEARLY as hard. and that is the truth! some of them are but there is an exception to any rule...

you can go ahead and talk behind my back or even to my face about how "crappy" my tank is.. but the truth is that HALF of your tanks look like crap to me!!! i have my own style.. i have my own things that i like to look at... i have my own beliefs on how things should be done.. i have my own ideas of beauty... WHERE DO YOU GET OFF TELLING ME THAT I AM WRONG FOR BELIEVING IN WHAT I BELIEVE IN!!!!!

politics....?? this isnt politics.. its more religion and beliefs..... this is why i dont go to church..  its GODS place to judge.. not some peoples with their own beliefs... you all have NO right to look down upon me for different beliefs... if you do then you are a bunch of immature elitists... its that simple..

What happened to your copper band?

I don't really care if you feed your lionfish $30 meals, but you do realize that it's a huge waste of money, don't you?  Those fish could be easily (well some easier then others ) caught and sold.  Just seems silly to me...

Lost cause, don't take this the wrong way because I haven't seen your tank.  I just find some of the thinking a little strange.  In the ocean those fish have an opportunity to escape.  Even though we like to think of our tanks as a small part of the sea, they aren't the sea.  Out in the world there are bad people, if I stay away from the places they go and the things they are involved in then my chances are good that I'll be O.K.   If however you were to be tossed in a 5X8 cell with "Bad Bubba" you would soon be his new girlfriend or maybe his next meal.   Some things are done in good taste and with forethought.  To use this message board to say your excited about your new lion fish is great.  It would be easy enough to leave out the plans regarding the other inhabitants.   My advice, enjoy your tank, make friends with the folks on the message board, and let your own skin thicken a bit

I guess not judging but answering your questions: yes I never thought about it before but you are correct, we should ban hunting and fishing.

Oh, and I'm curious to know how many lionfish you have seen in nature.  I'll go out on a limb here and say zero.   Maybe these fish aren't predators, but scavengers???
