I have aquired some 55w bulbs and 65w bulbs PC and have pendants for both, but is ti possible to put one in the other. I would assume that the ballasts are about the same, though the are each different brands. I don't know much about lighting/ballasts, etc.... Any help would be appreciated.

That is sooo close, IMO it would work initially, the downside is that it might burn the bulb out sooner than they should, It could also force a color shift in the bulb.

I ran a 20W no bulb on  a balast for a 40 watt electronic bulb(possibly forcing it to run at 40 watt, hope was that the electronic balast would compensate), as far as I could tell it was working fine when I went to MH bulbs.

i run them interchangably with zero problems. hellolights also says there are no ill-effects to interchanging.  i wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you so much for the opinions. I'm in a situation where I'm willing to try it. I'll let you know how it goes. THanks again.

I agree with dnellans, they are the same as far as the ballast is concerned.

Most of the ballast I have see say they are for 55/65 watt bulbs.  I know my Coralife Ballasts say that.
