I have some pom pom that is in a high flow area of my tank. When I turn the pumps off durring feeding I can see the coral pulsing like it is supposed to, but with the water running it doesn't pulse due to the heavy current.

Should I move the coral/current? Does this matter?

Thanks

Ive moved mine out of the heavy flow areas. They seemed to get streached out and thin. They seem to like a medium flow better than low flow.

Let me rephrase that. Does the pulsing matter?

I can see that the pom pom is doing ok because it is slowly sprouting new stalks. It just doesn't pulse

Good question. The pulsing is the way that it catches its prey. If it is growing new stalks then its eating so its probably ok.
