I'll be moving from Riverdale to Ogden over the next few days. We're saving the aquarium for last (Saturday) and would appreciate the help of anyone available in the area. Also, does anyone have tips on how to best move an aquarium? Thanks.

You missed Mr. Saltwater Tank who talked about his move at one of our meetings. I'm heading to bed, but I just wanted to share what I wrote a while back.

Aloha,

That is an excellent procedure and write up by Nikki. Thumbs Up

Also check the treads that are linked in the Reefkeeping Tips. I believe I linked 3 very good threads showing many options and discussing what major techniques worked best. It isn't as complicated as moving the tank 2000 miles, but it can be almost as stressful.

You are already on the right track, by saving it for last. Also realize that for a trip as short as this, tubs filled 1/2-2/3 full of water are great for submerged transport of LR and coral. Sand transport depends on the age of the tank and amount of crud in the sand. It was discussed just a few days ago here:http://utahreefs.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=64893

The good thing is that it can be done so that the biofiltration hardly skips a beat.
