QuoteReplyTopic: Dimming /w LM317 regulator Posted: April 10 2013 at 12:54pm
I have a board that is driving 5 strings of 5 - 3 watt LED's. The board has individual circuits for each string and each circuit is current controlled by an LM317 and a resistor.
Does anyone have any quick designs that would allow me to make this LM317 circuit dimmable? resistive dimming would be the easiest as the driver board is already mounted in a hood and space is not overwhelmingly available. A 555 PWM might be an option if i can control them all with a single dimmer circuit.
Any thoughts and ideas would be very helpful. Thanks Krazie
