Does everyones tanks seem to grow pretty constant or do they seem to grow in spurts?

When my maintenance is good, it grows pretty constant. If I've been lazy and do a ton of maintenance all at once, I'll get a huge growth spurt. IMO, constant growth should be ideal - means you're keeping all your parameters at a steady level rather than spiking and dropping.
