Last night my bubble tip divided. That was very cool! My porcelain crab took to one and the other anemone wandered off. Very fun to watch.

Very cool!  One of my bubble tips just split this week as well.  Just be aware, you can end up with a tank full of anemones.  This is anemone number 5 for me, 4 of which are in the same tank...

Well the bulb tipped is mainly photosynthetic. I have not fed it anything else. He may be getting something from my feedings? Not sure. I have never ran carbon on my tank before because I run a UV sterilizer and it keeps the algae down so my water never looks to yellow. But one thing I did that may have sparked the split was ran carbon for the first time. I put the carbon in that day and it split literally that night. Maybe it cleaned the tank up enough to make it think it had more room to split?  i.e. less waste in the water.

I never feed any of my anemones...  I see them getting bits and pieces of fish food now and then but not much.  With having 3 in a 75 gallon tank I really didn't want another one so I've intentionally not fed them, but I guess it didn't matter.  I'll see where these two split anemones end up and take one out if possible.

What kind of lighting is necessary for BTA?  Mine split into three once.  Since then, none of the pieces have grown.  Maybe even shrunk a little.  I have a 55 gal tank with 4x65 watts pc/ two actinic & two white.  Do I need more light? or more food for the anenomes?  They (Including my seabae) have not expanded much in the past two weeks.

Rstruhs- how long has in been since the split?  It may take several weeks to several months for them to pick up on growth.  FWIW I don't feed mine directly but I do have very strong lighting (2x250watt MH).  I currently have 7 BTAs in my tank from the original 1 I started with (Jeff Hite also has 1 of them so I guess that makes 8 total)...

Flaz - I guess I needed worry.  It has only been a month since it split.  I only occasionally feed them directly.  I did last night for the first time in two weeks.  I just gave them each a little zooplankton.  I figure they can catch the shrimp or whatever the little critters are that are running all over my tank easier than I can!

I've gotten 3 clones so far.  One has split once and the other twice.  I feed them a chunk of table shrimp soaked in Selcon...feeding them twice a week or so.  I'm not sure if it's the food or what, but they're splitting like a charm!

I didn't look at the date of the post...just saw that it was an active post..oops!
