My red people eaters did the same thing. What kind of light are they under? how close are they to the light? My red people eaters are extremely slow growers and dont like a lot of light. If I remember Brad has his rpe about middle tank under halides. Try moving them down away from the light a little more.

Sorry for the long waited reply. They are about 1/3 the way up the tank, and about 30" from the light. The light is 2 250w Metal halide 14k pheonix bulbs.

They should be ok. I would just watch them. Mine did the same thing at first and now they are pretty red.

The thing that is crazy to me is that it started happening 1-2 months after introduction into the tank, not the first week, but months
