Many chalices are slow growers.  That is one reason they command such a high price.

I don't follow coral names, but it is very pretty.

My chalice kept getting sand dumped on him from my sand eating/gold head gobie.  Now the chalice has skeleton pieces showing here and there, I moved him up a touch onto a shaded rock.  Anything special I can do to him to help him come back to life?

I bought a chalice and it also had some skeleton showing, I just left it in the tank off the sand and kept all sand off of it and it healed back up.

you can feed them mysis, I have done so. You can feed any LPS mysis if they are feeding which in my experiance only seems to be at light.

My chalices grow like crazy because I spot feed a few hours after the lights go off and with powerheads off. I feed a mix of different frozen, mostly mysis. Sometimes coral chili, and a product called chalice reef caviar.
Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.

Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following.
50 Gallon rimless cube.
180 Gallons mixed reef paradise

I have a gold dust chalice.  I never see any feeder tentacles on them so I thought mysis would be too big for them.
