Topic: Favia itch Posted: January 30 2011 at 1:45am |
Well like the title says I am kind of going through a favia itch and I am wondering what everyone has down there in Utah. I am from Idaho Falls area and I come down every now and again.
I mainly look for corals that are very nice contrast and combinations of colors, or unfortunatly ones with names because that is why they have a name. If you have any interesting favias please post pictures or mention what you have.
Some that come to mind that I would love to know if they are in Utah are
Tyree pastel and peace
Tyree Triton
Mias pot of gold
but not just stopping there.
If you have a coral that is truely unique please feel free to post pics. Thanks

Thats just a few of mine! Not all of them are on my site. Ignore the prices of the ones that are on there as well. I hook it up for you, if you want some frags.

Thanks man, I still have that red acro with red polyps that I need to get you. The next time I head down there I cbring it. I dont have a camera that can catch any of it really. It just looks plain jane, and maybe thats cause it is but I think it might be something nice that you could get to color up. Everyone here loves the Kalidascope favia, and I will be danged if I frag it so it kills them. Ill be in touch when I come that way.

Mia's Pot of Gold
Tyree Pandora
Tyree Pandora
Babies breath
Those are my favorite that I have, with pandora being the undisputed champ. Mine looks a little different than butlers pic. My eyes are more purple pink. Its just a little guy now but you notice it from 15 feet away.
How much is that eye of Jupiter Jarad?

Help a newbee out, I got a favia once and it died LOL - as is all our lives in salt.
I have a gold head gobie that puts sand all over stuff that sits on the sand.
What are the care for these guys, I know low light and bottom of the tank, is all the sand on him gonna kill him? I'm sure I can fashion some little rock to get him a little bit off the sand.
