is there a heater small enough for a picotope tank or does it even need one? also is there a powerhead small enough for it, its going to be a gift so i really want to give it with everything it need to just add water and sand and rock of course

Yes, they make a heater for one, not sure. Not needed though.
there is a powerhead small enough, a koralia nano 1 is small enough, but
to much flow. I will post up here tomorrow on my Power head.
Someone is lucky to get an awesome little set-up

No they are not the same.  The 1 is much more powerful.  I had a pico and had a heater in with it and an powerhead at 50gph.  I want to say it was a viaaqua but not sure.  I dont think the heater was really necessary but I did keep it in during the winter to keep it at 78.  I always pulled it out in the summer.  I have no idea on the brand but it looks really similar to a whisper one I have on another tank.  Sorry I dont know what brands but they are out there.  Good Luck

alright thanks for the info instead of looking for the biigest baddest stuff i will have to look for tiny stuf for this picotope
