So I really need to get some new lights. They are 150 W double ended bulbs. I have seen a few good things around here about Phoenix. I found these for about $45/ bulb. Does that sound about right?

I heard you find these way cheaper. I do not know where. Plusrite bulbs are pretty cheap.

I just use the cheap Odyssea bulbs from Aquatraders.com. I use the 20k and they look awesome and I've had good coral growth. I might have to replace them more often than Phoenix but i'm still saving a boatload of money at $15 a pop

They need to be replaced more often to maintain a good PAR.

I've used more expensive bulbs like Phoenix but I've really liked these Odyssea bulbs.

OK cool, what does PAR mean? How long do your Odyssea bulbs maintain a good PAR for?

I posted this on the other thread but figured I would post it here as well. Just because the other threads name I figured people looking for other bulbs (I.E. watts and k rating)might not read it.

So I decided it was time to buy new bulbs cause I really don't know how old mine are. I bought them with the ballasts used... So I read all over here and RC and decided to purchase the Plusrite 175 w 20000k bulbs. However I could not find the ebay store that was selling themCry When I did a search nothing came up under plusrite. After extensive reading through RC I found the name of the ebay store that sells them it "trust_deals" and if someone doesnt want to buy from ebay his website is

www.lightspectrumstore.com

I dont know why on ebay it doesnt say plusrite under the brand name but all over the RC thread it says this is the ones. So I figured I would pass this info along so the next person looking at buying these bulbs doesnt have to spend hours like me looking for them. Here is a link to the RC thread everyone speaks very highly about the bulbs and they even have tank shots and PAR readingsClap

The bulbs I was running before were the Artemis 20000k I liked them But They dont sell them anymore. Or at least I cant find them. So I am hoping I like these as much!
