Instead of unplugging my "misc" powerstrip, I unplugged the EB8. Plugged it back in, reset the time, etc. Then checked my IP address, port, etc. and none of them had reset. Yet I can't access it through the IP address on my laptop or using the app on my Android based DroidX. It is supplying info to the app cuz I can see the stats in the widget on my homescreen, but when I try to control it, it just gives me an error.

Is there something that needs to be reset after a "power surge"?

When you are on your local network have you tried typing apex into your browser address line?  Have you tried pinging it (at a command prompt PING xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).  If you are able to access the APEX on your local network and not outside then you have a DNS problem.

I'm able to ping the address, but when I put APEX into browser line, it's unable to connect.

Do you add port after IP address?
